Rubicon's cloud platform has been running continuously since 2016. Not a startup. Not a beta. A proven infrastructure built and operated by engineers with decades of real-world experience.
Rubicon Technologies began as an Enterprise Systems Management and ITSM consulting firm with over 30 years of hands-on experience deploying and operating enterprise software for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and financial institutions. We spent years helping clients navigate complex software deployments — and equally complex cloud bills.
We built Rubicon Cloud because we kept seeing the same problem: small and medium-sized businesses, and the consulting firms serving them, were being priced out of the cloud by billing complexity. A predictable infrastructure cost should not require a dedicated FinOps team to understand. So we built one.
Our cloud platform has been running in production since 2016, serving customers with demanding workloads — including one enterprise client with approximately 80 servers who has been with us since the beginning. Eight years of production operation is not a marketing claim. It is a track record.
Founder & Principal
With a degree in computer science and over 30 years of hands-on experience, Rodney has worked across every environment from 7×24 manufacturing floors to Wall Street trading systems, DoD classified environments, and large-scale government deployments.
His particular expertise is in the extension and customisation of enterprise ESM/ITSM frameworks — making off-the-shelf platforms deliver real-world value rather than just checking a procurement box. He has deep hands-on experience with BMC Software, Splunk, HP/MicroFocus, OpenText, SolarWinds, VMware, Proxmox, and Nutanix environments.
Rubicon Cloud is the infrastructure Rodney wished had existed when he was running enterprise deployments for clients — simple, predictable, and built by someone who understands what production workloads actually require.
We have a named account manager, not a ticket queue. When you have a problem, you talk to a person who knows your environment.
What you see on the pricing page is what you pay. No hidden fees, no billing surprises, no fine print that changes what an "included" service actually means.
Eight years of production operation. 99.9% uptime SLA. Enterprise-grade hardware at CyrusOne DUR1. We built this to run — and it does.
Five server classes plus bare metal. Custom OS configurations. Optional managed services. We build what you need, not what fits a catalogue.
